Does this sound familiar?

  • Keys have been lost or may be unaccounted for
  • A cylinder or mortice lock is damaged
  • You want to review a lock after moving home

Your door and lock matter.

A replacement must fit the door and work with its existing hardware. Check any insurer, landlord or building requirements before choosing a product.

What to expect.

We’ll discuss the existing lock, suitable options and the quote. Ask how many keys are supplied and what changes, if any, are needed to the door.

Changing your own flat lock does not authorise changing communal doors or shared access systems.

What influences the cost?

Product specification, door preparation, fitting requirements and any additional damage affect the price. The published lock-change and new-installation amounts are starting prices; confirm the full quote for the proposed work.

Service starting prices

Lock change

from £49

New lock installation

from £89

Starting prices depend on the lock, the work and the parts required. Ask for a total quote confirming attendance, labour, parts and any applicable VAT before agreeing to the work.

A few useful answers.

Do I need to replace the entire mechanism?

Not always. A cylinder replacement and a multipoint mechanism replacement are different jobs. Assessment identifies what is needed.

Will any lock meet my insurance policy?

Check the exact requirements with your insurer. We do not guarantee that a particular product satisfies every policy.
