Does this sound familiar?

  • A front door has closed with the keys inside
  • A lock has failed while the door is locked
  • A damaged door cannot be secured

Your door and lock matter.

The right approach depends on the door, the lock and whether the locking points have engaged. Let us know if your door is timber, composite, metal or uPVC, and whether you can turn the key.

What to expect.

We’ll ask about the problem and postcode, discuss availability, and explain the proposed work and quote. Any change in the scope should be discussed before proceeding.

If there is fire, smoke, a medical emergency or an immediate threat to life, call 999. Do not wait for a locksmith.

What influences the cost?

Time of attendance, lock type, the condition of the door and any agreed replacement parts all affect the quote. Ask what is included before authorising work.

Service starting prices

Emergency door opening

from £69

Lock change

from £49

New lock installation

from £89

Starting prices depend on the lock, the work and the parts required. Ask for a total quote confirming attendance, labour, parts and any applicable VAT before agreeing to the work.

Repair and specialist work is quoted after assessment. These starting amounts apply to the named services if required; they are not a fixed price for every fault.

A few useful answers.

Can you give me an arrival time online?

No. Availability and an estimated arrival time need to be confirmed directly. The coverage checker does not dispatch a locksmith.

Will the lock always need replacing?

Not necessarily. The door and lock need to be assessed before the available options can be explained.
